SD 0080 Project (2021)
Launched from a previous comic strip featuring a basic version of the Rick Dom II regular colors, at the start of 2021 I launched a project to render all of the mobile suits from the 1989 six-part animated series Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket in "super-deformed" (ie- "cute") style.
Unlike the more action-based poses I normally do, I wanted to keep them "grounded." Each drawing has their feet firmly planted, similar to what a small desktop toy or figurine would look like.
It was a lot of fun, a bit stressful at points but, overall, I'm happy with how it landed.
